The Summer/Fall ’09 issue of Dining Out San Diego features the Numero Water Boutique in “the scoop on what’s new and happening in San Diego.”

Little Italy is probably one of the most unlikely places to find a relaxing Japanese oasis, but that’s just what, and where Numero Water Boutique is. A variety of calming services are offered, such as onsen (Japanese for “hot spring”) mineral foot baths, reflexology foot massages, a tranquility room with massage chair, a tea bar-a modern twist on the traditional Japanese tea room-and much more. And of course, there’s their line of premium natural spring waters. Now you can finally experience the Japanese spirit and philosophy of “wabi-sabi.” Who-bi knew-bi?

Dining Out San Diego is a leading guide to the city’s most popular restaurants and distributed to upscale condominiums, hotels and other tourist locations throughout the County. It receives continuous strong support from members of the San Diego Concierge Association and front desk staff at more than 200 local resorts and hotels.

San Diego Jewish World: Taking care of others by taking care of myself

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

sdjewishworld4

San Diego Jewish World has published a full feature article on the Numero Water Boutique. Writer Lynne Thrope experienced first-hand, the benefit of “selfish” relaxation and the value of putting one’s own needs before those of others. (check out her picture to the right!)

A couple excerpts from Lynne’s article: 20090715-soak1

–I remembered this lesson I had recently learned and took the day off to rejuvenate at this 4,000 sq. ft. Zen-like, environmentally conscious, quasi spa, water and tea tasting bar and tearoom, and boutique that offers gifts and accessories from Japan as well as beauty and skin care products. (Have you ever tried Emu Oil to prevent scarring?)

–“One must take care of oneself – much more often,” I muttered mantra-like to myself while being pampered in an onsen (Japanese word for hot spring) or mineral foot bath after indulging in a reflexology foot massage. Services like these are offered at Numero Water Boutique in a tranquil, private relaxation room.
